Since 2011, CcHUB has supported the growth of a community passionate about the role of technology in transforming Nigeria. We have seen from experience that there are lots of people and organizations interested in the application of technology to solve local problems and our goal is to continue to unearth such individuals/companies and to support them to bring their ideas/products to life.
Our preincubation program is tailored towards early stage ideas and businesses. It is a 6-month program that takes the ideas through a prototyping phase, user testing, iterating based on user feedback and building an MVP that gains traction. We do all this with the aim to help entrepreneurs understand their users, create working business models and use technology that can provide superior value for users.
To date, over fifty (50) ideas have enjoyed support through our Pre-Incubation program prominent of which are BudgIT, WeCyclers, Truppr, Genii Games, VacantBoards, Jobs In Nigeria, 500 Shops, Efiko, Nigerian Constitution app, NaijaTeenz, Open apps, Church+.
Our Incubation program is designed for existing businesses that have gained some traction, generated revenue and are looking to scale. We work with the startup to create functional business processes, grow their business and achieve scale. Businesses in our incubation program receive mentoring, business development, administrative and funding support to test their models and focus on execution.
Prominent startups which have graduated from our accelerator program include; Wecyclers, Budgit, 500 shops and Traclist. We invest $10,000 to $25,000 per startup in our incubation program.
Our accelerator programs are designed for existing solutions (not ideas) that are looking to grow rapidly over a short period of time. Accelerator programs focus on understanding users, using feedback to rapidly optimize solutions and gaining access to markets and partnerships.
The 3-month program is very intense and usually crowned with a Demo day featuring potential partners and investors.
Some of the startups which gone through our accelerator programs include Riby Finance, Delivery Bros, Proteach, Termii Webtech, Slidesafe, cameraman, nicademia, 360 Creative Hub and Edusko. The full list of our 2017 Next Economy batch can be found here.
