Adebayo Adegbembo is the lead developer and Chief Evangelist of Genii Games. A trained Engineering Surveyor from the University of Lagos, Bayo went the route of technoprenurship to fulfill his love for computer programming and digital animation.

Genii Games’ Àsà brand was born on February 2012 at the Tech-In Education Hackathon.

Àsà (meaning culture in Yoruba) is a brand of mobile apps for smartphones and tablets aimed at preserving and promoting African Culture. The apps are primarily aimed at kids aged 2-12 years with the goal of getting them stimulated in subjects relating to the Africa Culture. The apps combine features as voice, text, colorful graphics, sound and games to deliver culturally educative lessons. Its content cut across various cultural values as languages, morally cultivating folk tales, etiquette etc. That way, Genii Games aims to address the declining interest and knowledge of African Culture which is most prevalent among kids of African descent at home and the diaspora.
