Tech-In Series is an initiative of Co-Creation Hub aimed at accelerating the application of social capital and technology to solve challenge in critical areas of life in Nigeria. The 48hr experiment gathers software developers and designers together with subject matter experts and other interested stakeholders to co-create novel web and mobile based solutions aimed at solving a particular social challenge affecting the everyday lives of Nigerian. Tech-In is not a talk-shop but a living lab where contextualized cool solutions are birthed.
Developers Parapo is an event where Nigerian web and mobile application developers network, shareand gain knowledge required to start and grow viable businesses. We’ll bring industry experts from Nigeria and across the world to the events to share key insights that will grow the Nigerian application development ecosystem. Developers Parapo is an event of Co-Creation Hub Nigeria and takes place monthly at the CcHub in Lagos, Nigeria’s first open living lab.
Past editions of Developers Parapo have been hosted by InMobi, VANSO, Microsoft, Google and RIM(BlackBerry).
Tony Elumelu Foundation/CcHUB Innovation Fund
Tony Elumelu Foundation/CcHUB Innovation Fund is a managed pre-seed funding scheme for up to 20 technological ideas/ventures targeted at typical social challenges faced by the average Nigerian. The fund will support the novel use of technology in several key areas of the economy including healthcare, education, agriculture, governance, inclusive technology, small business development, and finance. By focusing on the early stages of high-impact, results-oriented ideas/ventures, the seed funding will support experimentation and prototype development in order to accelerate the adoption of the solutions. Each technology venture will then have the potential to become a self-sustaining profitable social enterprise.
Application for the fund is open to social technology starts who are part of the CcHub Pre-Incubation process and is applied for quarterly
Nokia-CcHUB Growth Academy
Nokia-CcHUB Growth Academy: is a first of its kind business accelerator programme in Africa dedicated to providing intensive continuous hands-on support to help approximately thirty (30) early stage mobile technology start-ups grow into high growth businesses and build world class mobile applications in 2012.
The program consists of three parts; Training, App Development and Launch of world class mobile apps for Nokia platform. Selected participants will undergo hands-on, structured business and technical training to grow their ideas. The programme is delivered as in conjunction with Futurice, a leading global mobile software organization from Finland.
