This event brings together technology developers, civil society actors and tech enthusiasts on the new trend of civic apps driving transparency and government accountability. This event is also set up as an experiential lab to showcase the different new media tools/ apps that allow citizens to engage with government.
The objective is to educate and empower so more people are aware of these tools and use them.
There will be a presentations featuring The Knowledge Graph, Open Data in Africa, Open Government Model and Data Science.
Discussion topics in an engaging session will explore improving the impact of social media engagement on topical governance issues and data interaction. Participants are expected to develop key understanding on nesting social media with data analysis, visualisation and engagement.
